Volunteer rehab project renovates 21 homes in Robbins


Janelle Brown recalled Saturday how she rushed last fall to make the deadline to apply for free home repairs.

“I was praying (I’d make it) because I didn’t have the money,” the Robbins woman said. Brown’s home hadn’t had any major renovation or repair work done since she moved in in the late 1950s.
