Starting Monday (Nov. 2), Orland Park residents can apply for a share of a $2.2 million property tax rebate.

That’s the amount of money that village officials have earmarked, the same as last year, to rebate a portion of the village’s share of the 2014 tax bill paid this year.

Residents can apply online at optaxrebate.com or pick up a paper application at Village Hall, 14700 Ravinia Ave.; the recreation administration building, 14600 Ravinia Ave.; the Orland Park Public Library, 14921 Ravinia Ave., or the village’s Sportsplex, 11351 W. 159th St. The deadline for applications is Dec. 11…Please click here to read Mike Nolan’s story in the Tribune/Daily Southtown.
