The

Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD) is proposing changes to the Watershed Management Ordinance (WMO), which regulates sewer construction within MWRD’s service area and development within suburban Cook County. It provides uniform stormwater management regulations to prevent future commercial, municipal, and residential development and redevelopment projects from exacerbating flooding and protects environmentally sensitive areas.

Input is being sought from the public on the proposed changes outlined in the redlined draft amendment. Read more.

The public comment period will be open until February 5, 2019. Please submit all comments by email to WMOComments@mwrd.org or by mail to:

Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago Local Sewer Systems Section 111 East Erie Street Chicago, IL 60611
