From the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD); please share with your municipal public works / village engineers departments:
On May 7, 2015, the MWRD awarded a two-year contract for sewer flow metering services to ADS, LLC (ADS). As part of the contract, ADS provided unit pricing for installation of flow meters and rain gauges at unspecified locations throughout Cook County. As the owner of a local sewer system tributary to the MWRD, you are encouraged to consider entering into your own agreement with ADS to perform temporary sanitary and/or combined sewer flow metering within your system. Although you may negotiate your own terms with ADS, should your terms be substantially similar to those in the MWRD’s contract, the unit prices provided by ADS for the MWRD’s contract will apply to your local sewer system as well.
The MWRD’s contract is posted on the MWRD’s website (www.mwrd.org) under “Business With Us.” Please click here to read the full letter from MWRD’s Director of Engineering Catherine A. O’Connor.
Information sessions about how flow metering can play an effective part of any sewer rehabilitation and maintenance program and about this particular opportunity will be offered by ADS and the MWRD according to the schedule below. Local sewer system owners are encouraged to send an attendee to one of the sessions.
