Illinois Housing Development Authority requesting applications for Abandoned Properties Program

The Illinois Housing Development Authority is pleased to request applications for the Abandoned Properties Program.  Under this program, IHDA will make grants to municipalities and counties for the maintenance or demolition of abandoned residential properties within their jurisdiction. Funds will be distributed throughout the state geographically, as determined by the enabling legislation.

To be eligible, applicants must be a municipality or a county located in the State of Illinois.

Grant funds may be used for securing, maintaining, demolishing, or rehabilitating abandoned homes.

Completed applications will be accepted until December 6, 2013 at 3:00pm CST.
