Ford Explorer Factory Order Cutoff Date The Suburban Purchasing Cooperative was notified by Bredemann Ford of Glenview that the factory order cutoff date for the Ford Explorer was January 30. The SPC contract for this vehicle is good through May 31, 2015, so the SPC has requested that Ford Motor Company rollover the agreement to the 2016 model year and is awaiting their response. SPC Awards Janitorial Supplies Contract Extension The Suburban Purchasing Cooperative Governing Board has approved the second of three (3) possible one-year contract extensions for janitorial supplies to Warehouse Direct Workplace Solutions of Des Plaines. The contract extension runs from February 21, 2015 through February 20, 2016. Warehouse Direct also holds the SPC Office Supplies contract through Independent Stationers utilizing the U.S. Communities national contract through August 30, 2015.

The office supply program has fixed prices on 1,300 quality core products and over 28,000 non-core products, plus electronic data management and merged print services. In addition, SPC members are eligible to receive up to a 1% e-commerce rebate paid in the form of a credit towards future purchases. Orders for office supplies and janitorial supplies may be consolidated or placed separately. There are no minimum order requirements and standard next day delivery is free. SPC Awards Final Ford Focus and Explorer Contract Extensions The Suburban Purchasing Cooperative Governing Board has approved the final one-year contract extension on the 2016 Ford Focus S Vehicle with Currie Motors of Frankfort from January 21, 2015 through January 20, 2016. The contract extension includes an $811.00 price increase, bringing the base price from $12,445.00 to $13,256.00. The Focus provides an excellent price point for fuel economy and still remains the lowest priced vehicle in the SPC program. The SPC Governing Board has also approved the third and final one-year contract extension on the 2016 Ford Explorer FWD Base with Bredemann Ford of Glenview from June 1, 2015 through May 31, 2016. The contract contains a price increase of $234.00, or less than 1%, bringing the vehicle price to $25,910.00. The redesigned 2016 Explorer includes controllable daytime running lights and a rearview camera with washer as new standard features.
