The South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association, along with friends and dignitaries, gathered on Dec. 6 at the Tinley Park Convention Center to celebrate the season and the region. Although the Southland has many challenges, we also have a lot to be proud of.
“Tonight we’ve come together in recognition that together we’re stronger,” said SSMMA President and Hazel Crest Mayor Vernard Alsberry. “We have representatives from every corner or our region here tonight. It shows our strength. We’ve proven that we can come together in the face of adversity, and to celebrate our successes. We’re in it together to make sure we all prosper and have brighter futures. That’s tonight’s theme: Together we’re stronger.”
SSMMA wishes to thank Mayor Jacob Vandenberg and the Village of Tinley Park for hosting the Jingle and Mingle Holiday Event. We also thank our sponsors for underwriting the holiday dinner and their support throughout the year. They include Calumet City Plumbing, Comcast, ComEd, Farnsworth Group, The Horton Group, Mi-Jack and Proven IT. Click here for more photos.
