Orland Park is exploring using propane as a fuel in dozens of village police vehicles.
Pending approval by the Village Board, the village would negotiate a contract with Schaumburg company, Alternative Fuel Supply LLC, to eventually convert 42 police vehicles to use propane and install a propane fueling station at the village’s public works yard, according to Joe La Margo, assistant village manager.
