Please join GreenTown Chicago to share ideas about creating greener, healthier and more sustainable communities. The two-day conference is cosponsored by the Chicago Metropolitan for Planning (CMAP), the City of Chicago, the Institute of Cultural Affairs, and hosted by the University of Illinois at Chicago.  Session topics include healthy living, local food, energy, green infrastructure, water, open space and more.May 21-22, 2014University of Illinois at ChicagoStudent Center East750 South Halsted StreetChicago, IL 60607

At the conference, attendees can participate in the “LTA track” to learn about successful Local Technical Assistance projects from around the region in advance of CMAP’s next call for projects. That is set to open May 2 and close June 26.  The LTA track sessions are targeted to elected officials, municipal planners and other staff, community-based organizations interested in CMAP’s next call for projects for the program. CMAP is offering a limited number of complimentary admissions for municipal staff (one per community). To RSVP, contact Berenice Vallecillos at bvallecillos@cmap.illinois.gov or 312-386-8623.
