With heavy hearts, the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association extends our sincerest condolences to our Immediate Past President, Mayor Vernard Alsberry, Jr., his family and the Village of Hazel Crest on the passing of his beloved wife, First Lady Joan Diane “Di” Alsberry. She made her transition to eternity in her sleep during the early hours of August 24 after a long battle with leukemia.
