Harvey and the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association invite public comment on cleanup activ

The City of Harvey and the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association invites comments on plans to conduct cleanup activities at the former Peterlin Property (15101 South Commercial Avenue). The proposed cleanup plan includes removal and offsite disposal on stockpile waste debris material.

The proposed cleanup activities would be funded under a Brownfields Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) Loan Agreement (#BF965250-01-4) between the City of Harvey and the SSMMA, who manages the RLF, executed September 14, 2015. Documentation is available for review at the City of Harvey Public Library (15441 Turlington Ave, Harvey, IL 60426), the City of Harvey website (www.cityofharvey.org), the SSMMA website (www.ssmma.org). There is a 30 day public review period. A community meeting will be convened to address public comments after the review on July 23, 2016.
