Funding opportunities: ComEd’s Green Region, Powering Safe Communities and Powering the Arts p

ComEd is proud to bring back three competitive-grant programs in 2020: Green Region, Powering Safe Communities and Powering the Arts.

Applications for all three programs will be accepted from Friday, Jan. 17- Friday, March 13.  The programs will award grants up to $10,000 for projects in our service territory through a competitive grant application process.  The applications are evaluated by our partners in the programs, as detailed below.  You can find links to all three programs at www.ComEd.com/grants.

  1. ComEd Green Region, a partnership with Openlands, provides funding to municipalities/governmental entities for open-space projects and is now in its eighth year!

  2. ComEd Powering Safe Communities, in partnership with the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus, gives support to municipal initiatives that support safety in our local neighborhoods and is celebrating its sixth year.

  3. ComEd Powering the Arts, with the League of Chicago Theatres as our partner, awards grants to arts & culture nonprofits to expand their programs to underserved audiences, including senior citizens, people with disabilities and low-income individuals and families.  This is the third year of the program!
