Economic Development through Brownfields: Strategies & Resources Workshop
Director of Cook County Department of Environmental Control Deborah Stone welcomes brownfields workshop attendees Nov. 2 at SSMMA offices.
The South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association, Cook County Department of Environmental Control, Chicago Southland Economic Development Corporation (CSEDC) and the Technical Assistance to Brownfields (TAB) Program at Kansas State University hosted a brownfields resources workshop Nov. 2 at the SSMMA office.
The workshop provided information and resources to help communities gain a better understanding of what a Brownfield is (old gas stations, factories or other potentially contaminated buildings with inherent liability issues).
