The Center for Neighborhood Technology (CNT), Cook County, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) the City of Blue Island, the City of Calumet City, the Village of Calumet Park, the Village of Dolton, the Village of Riverdale and the Village of Robbins are working together to better understand the impact of heavy rain on residents and property owners in to help identify solutions that will reduce or eliminate flooding. This work builds upon the County’s Disaster Resilience effort in 2015.

As part of this program, you may be eligible for a FREE risk assessment and home floodproofing service. Complete their questionnaire to be considered.

They are asking residents and businesses to complete this survey to tell them about any problems you are facing such as: wet basements, sewer backups, flooding or foundation damage. They are also curious about the impact of street and yard flooding. The survey results will be used to develop a plan for implementing cost effective solutions. Read  more.
