South Suburban Housing Center and Open Communities are hosting an Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) Workshop on Wednesday, August 20th, from 9:30am to 12:00 pm at the South Holland Community Center. A diverse panel of experts will be presenting information on a variety of topics including; newly proposed AFFH guidelines, federal and local fair housing rules and regulations, why being compliant is important and how to work as a community to create an open welcoming environment. All municipal planners, community development staff, recipients of CDBG grant funds and other service providers who receive CDBG funds are invited to attend.
