Aug 20: Protect your CDBG and other HUD housing funds workshop

From the South Suburban Housing Center for municipal planners, community development staff, recipients of Community Development Block Grant Funds, and other service providers who receive CDBG funds:

South Suburban Housing Center and Open Communities are hosting an Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) Workshop on Wednesday, August 20th, from 9:30am to 12:00 pm at the South Holland Community Center.  A diverse panel of experts will be presenting information on a variety of topics including; newly proposed AFFH guidelines, federal and local fair housing rules and regulations, why being compliant is important and how to work as a community to create an open welcoming environment.  All municipal planners, community development staff, recipients of CDBG grant funds and other service providers who receive CDBG funds are invited to attend.  The address is:  South Holland Community Center, 501 East 170th St., South Holland, IL 60473.
