Aug. 15: Smart Street Lighting Workshop

The Illinois Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) will host a free workshop for municipalities interested in conversion to money-and-energy-saving LED street lights.

After upgrading to LED street lights, municipalities typically see cost savings of greater than 50 percent due to the decreased energy usage of LED street lights versus original lights (high-pressure sodium, mercury vapor, metal halide). In addition, networked street lights, with each light connected via a data communications path, allows central control and enables “Smart” applications to be incorporated.

When: Wednesday, August 15, 2018 1:00 PM – 5:30 PM

Location Illinois Medical District 2100 West Harrison Street Chicago , IL

Reserve Your Spot Click here to register

The workshop will provide information about the Illinois Smart Street Lighting master contract program. State master contract vendors, Johnson Controls, Globetrotters Engineering and TEN Connected Solutions will present. ComEd and Ameren will also be available to explain available incentives. [Click here for detailed agenda and speaker bios]
