$1 Billion in TIGER funding for 2017 & 2018

The U.S. Department of Transportation announced $500 million in Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER funding) for the 2017 fiscal year, as well as another $500 million beginning in 2018.

The 2017 Consolidated Appropriates Act authorizes $500 million for national infrastructure investment projects that will have an impact on a region, metropolitan area or nation through 2020. Special consideration will be give to programs that address reliability and safety issues in rural areas. Please click here to read Rachel Engel’s story in Effecient Gov.
