The Part-Time Economic Development & Marketing Coordinator provides administrative, technical, and marketing support to the Assistant Village Manager/Economic Development Director in carrying out the Village’s economic development initiatives. This position assists in research, data collection, marketing activities, business outreach, event coordination, and project support related to business attraction, retention, expansion, and community marketing. The role serves as a key liaison for business inquiries and actively supports the Assistant Village Manager in advancing the Village’s economic development initiatives, fostering strong communication and collaboration among developers, real estate partners, community organizations, and Village departments. Notice of Funding Opportunity: Cook County Water Affordability Pilot Program for Municipal Water Utilities - APPLICATIONS DUE BY DECEMBER 9, 2025 This new funding opportunity from the Cook County Water Affordability Program provides up to $245,000 per municipality to develop and/or implement projects to tackle water affordability challenges. All municipalities delivering water to residential customers within suburban Cook County (excluding Chicago) are eligible to apply. Projects funded by this program should support residents disproportionately impacted by unaffordable water bills. Example projects include cost of service and water rate studies, leak alert and billing system upgrades, and customer outreach and engagement efforts. Purpose This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) invites submissions from qualified engineering consultants  to provide: Roadway design services Community engagement services The project covers Phase I Engineering Design  for a 2.83-mile section  of Dixie Highway, from 139th Street to 159th Street , within Cook County, IL . Project Overview The Dixie Highway Corridor Improvement Project  includes: Structural pavement reconstruction Truck access improvements Traffic signal installations Water and sewer replacements Street lighting Multi-use side path Pedestrian amenities These enhancements aim to improve: Multimodal functionality Safety Streetscape aesthetics The project is funded through the Illinois Surface Transportation Program  and will integrate with existing sidewalks and roadway segments. While the design will generally remain within the current utility right-of-way, additional right-of-way acquisition  may be required based on the final alignment. Integration with regional transportation infrastructure. The project is funded through the Transportation Alternatives Program , administered by the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) .
