Notice of Funding Opportunity: Cook County Water Affordability Pilot Program for Municipal Water Utilities - APPLICATIONS DUE BY DECEMBER 9, 2025

This new funding opportunity from the Cook County Water Affordability Program provides up to $245,000 per municipality to develop and/or implement projects to tackle water affordability challenges. All municipalities delivering water to residential customers within suburban Cook County (excluding Chicago) are eligible to apply. Projects funded by this program should support residents disproportionately impacted by unaffordable water bills. Example projects include cost of service and water rate studies, leak alert and billing system upgrades, and customer outreach and engagement efforts.

Cook County TAP will host a webinar at 12:00 PM on Thursday, November 20, 2025. Register today to learn more about the funding opportunity and application requirements.

Applications are due by December 9, 2025. Access the full notice of funding opportunity for more information and application instructions.
