This week ABC-7’s local morning show, “Windy City Live,” is giving viewers a tour of the hometowns of its hosts. Lansing resident Val Warner gave viewers a peek at her adopted hometown and the surrounding area on Monday’s live show. The segment included taped visits to some of her favorite dining and shopping spots in the south suburbs.
Warner was born and raised in California and worked as a news anchor and reporter in New Mexico, Kansas and Michigan before a job offer came along in Chicago in 2005, giving her an opportunity to live close to her mother, grandmother and sister…Please click here to read Carrie Steinweg’s story in the Times.
