The MPA program is always looking for new agencies with which it can partner on capstone projects. Project proposals are generally accepted up to six weeks in advance of the spring (January start date) and the fall (August start date) semesters. If you have a project-worthy proposal and want to take advantage of graduate student skill and collaboration, contact Prof. James Thompson at jthomp@uic.edu.

MPA Capstone Program Timeline • October 23, 2017 RFP process begins. Organizations interested in an MPA Capstone Project must submit a MPA Capstone Proposal. • December 1, 2017: Deadline for proposal submission. • January 5, 2018 Clients notified of Capstone award or rejection. • January 5, 2018 Students assigned to Capstone teams. MPA Capstone Projects begin; successful applicants are expected to meet with students to develop memorandum of understanding sometime in January. • May 7-11, 2018: MPA Capstone presentations to clients.
