APWA to host SPC presentation NWMC Purchasing Director Ellen Dayan will give a presentation on the Suburban Purchasing Cooperative (SPC) to the American Public Works Association (APWA) Chicago Metro Chapter, Southwest Branch on Wednesday, November 7. The presentation will begin at noon followed by lunch at Heroes West, 1530 Commerce Lane in Joliet. The cost is $30.00 to APWA members and $35.00 to non-members. October vehicle auction was a treat The last auction of 2018 ended on a high note with preliminary sales of $240,955.00 for 42 vehicles and 20 units of equipment. Thank you to Crete, Deerfield, Glen Ellyn, Glenview, Indian Head Park, Lincolnshire, Morton Grove, Palatine, Park Forest, Skokie, South Holland, Tinley Park, Thornton, Wheaton and Wilmette for participating! The 2019 auction schedule will be released soon, but the NWMC agreement with America’s Auto Auction provides for year-round Internet sales, so don’t be spooked! Members can dispose of surplus vehicles and equipment at any time.
