SPC Awards New Telecommunications Contract to Call One

SSMMA

By Rita Kueny

The Suburban Purchasing Cooperative (SPC) Governing Board has awarded the 2014 Telecommunication Services Vendor Contract to Call One of Chicago. The contract will run from April 1, 2014 through March 31, 2015. Call One has been the SPC telecommunications supplier for many years and is a vendor in good standing. The SPC reserves the right to extend the contract for up to four (4) additional one-year terms upon mutual agreement of both the vendor and the SPC on a negotiated basis.

The SPC received proposals in response to the request for proposals (RFP) for the selection of a 2014 telecommunication services vendor from Call One and Windstream Communications, Inc. of Little Rock, Arkansas. Upon reviewing the proposal documents, staff determined that the Windstream Communications, Inc. proposal was not compliant; therefore, Call One submitted the only responsive, responsible bid. With acceptance of this contract, Call One agrees to all terms and conditions set forth in the specifications contained within the request for proposals to which they responded.

For questions or additional information, please contact Call One Channel Accounts Manager Bob Kintz, 312-506-5003 (direct), 630-465-1485 (mobile), 800-440-9440 (toll free) or rkintz@callone.com or your SPC staff representative.

Please consider the Suburban Purchasing Cooperative when making purchases and note that every municipality and government agency in the State of Illinois is authorized to participate in SPC Programs. Feel free to contact your SSMMA SPC staff representative Rita Kueny at (708) 206-1155 or rita.kueny@ssmma.org with any questions or comments you may have regarding existing SPC programs or additional programs you might like to see added.
