Every year for the last 20 years, Diversity, Inc., a partner of the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association, has celebrated the region’s multicultural character and those individuals and/or organizations who have worked to enrich this amenity.

This year’s event will be held on September 30, 2015 at Olympia Fields Country Club, with festivities beginning 6:00 pm with a cocktail reception. It is during this time that the Diversity Elephant Raffle is held; always a favorite of guests who may walk away with gift certificates to one of the many fine restaurants in the Southland or some gently used items. You never know what, but everyone wins. The reception is sponsored by Walgreens, America’s Drug Store.

This year the guest speaker, sponsored by BMO Harris Bank, will be Senator Toi Hutchinson, representing the 40th District of Illinois. Toi, a life-long resident of the Southland and dedicated public servant, has grown to be widely recognized as an advocate for our region and a watchman for fairness, opportunity and economic growth in the Southland. Our Master of Ceremonies is Bonita Parker, Community Relations Manager for Com Ed.

The evening concludes with the presentation of the Community Spirit, Achievement and Leadership Awards recognizing nominated recipients and sponsored by AT&T.

Reservations are $70.00 per individual and $600.00 for a table of ten. For more information contact Diversity, Inc. at (708) 206-1203 and speak with Barbara McKinley.
