Chicago Southland Economic Development Corporation, South Metropolitan Higher Education Consortium, and OAI, Inc are hosting a presentation and discussion with key people involved in the successful implementation of Pittsburgh’s TechShop and the New App for Making It In America Project. The format of the meeting will be an overview of the Maker Movement and trends, the development of the New App for Making It In America Project and how the consortium developed its current model, followed by a discussion of what this means to Chicago and what could be adapted.
