Tyrone Ward-Mayor of Robbins, Illinois- has been overwhelmingly elected to the position of President of the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association (SSMMA). The full body vote was taken on Thursday, May 16th during the regular meeting of the SSMMA. Mayor Ward takes over for outgoing President Mayor Vernard L. Alsberry of Hazel Crest.
“I’m grateful, honored and blessed to have been elected by my peers to this awesome position. There are various common denominators that link all of our various communities. Moreover there are some very important issues that are being considered in Springfield that will have lasting impacts on Southern Cook County.
