As Illinois prepares to announce its proposal to woo Amazon’s second headquarters, Gov. Bruce Rauner said Wednesday he likes the state’s chances of winning the coveted prize that could bring 50,000 jobs.
“I think we got as good a shot, better shot, than anyone,” he said, addressing the annual meeting of the Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau.
He told the crowd at the Hilton Oak Lawn that “Amazon loves Illinois,” and “loves our transportation infrastructure.” Please click here for Mike Nolan’s story in the Tribune/Daily Southtown.
