Rain barrels to be available for Lansing residents

Residents can be issued up to four free rain barrels after the Village Board approved an intergovernmental agreement with the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago recently.
The 55-gallon drums are designed to go under the downspout of a home. The water collected can be used for things like watering plants or lawns or cleaning cars or tools.
