Rick Pazier had to toss all the perfectly good steaks he’d bought for Independence Day due to a three-day power outage in his Midlothian neighborhood after Monday’s violent storms.
“It ruined everything I planned to barbecue,” said Pazier, 53, over the whir of generators providing power to some of his neighbors. “It ruined all the meat in the freezer and all the dairy products.”
