Orland Park OKs incentives for Von Maur store

After seeing two large voids in the village’s economic engine hit back to back in the span of a few months, Orland Park is a step closer to filling one of them.
At its meeting on Oct 15, the Village Board approved a package of tax incentives worth $8.5 million to bring retailer Von Maur to Orland Square Mall.
A tentative agreement with the Davenport, Iowa-based chain calls for Von Maur to spend more than $25 million to extensively renovate the recently vacated Carson’s store space at the mall, which earlier this year saw the departure of a second anchor store, Sears…Please click here to read Mike Nolan’s story in the Tribune/Daily Southtown.
