Orland Park launches civic engagement rewards program

About 200 people signed up for Orland Park’s new program that aims to reward residents for civic engagement in the first few days after its launch, village officials said Monday.

In December, the village announced plans to partner with Chicago startup BondingPoint, which offers an online platform called InOur.Community that lets towns ask residents to perform civic functions such as promoting local events or taking surveys in exchange for points they can use to bid on rewards.
