Monday night was an eventful evening highlighted by emotional goodbyes and warm welcomes as a new village president, village clerk and trustee were sworn into office. Sheila Chalmers-Currin was sworn in as Matteson’s next President. The swearing-in ceremony also included newly elected Village Clerk Yumeka Brown and Trustee Adam Shorter along with re-elected Trustees Veloid Cotton and Bridget Dancy.
