A new interchange at Interstate 57 and Stuenkel Road in University Park might help Bill Kresse stick to his diet.
A professor at Governors State University, he recently lost several pounds, and his previous route took him past a tempting fast-food restaurant.
But local officials hope the new interchange, which opened to traffic a week ago, will be a key to fostering economic development in that area along with providing better access to GSU and the University Park station on Metra’s Electric Line.
