The Chicago metropolitan area attracted more business investment than anywhere else in the country last year.
The Chicago metro led the United States in significant economic development projects for the second straight year in 2014, according to the Site Selection trade magazine for corporate executives. Chicago landed 385 major new facilities or expansions, up from 373 in 2014 and outpacing runner-up Houston by 120 projects.
