Member community spotlight: Tinley Park
Mayor Vandenberg was elected as Tinley Park’s 26th mayor in April 2017 after serving for two years as a Village Trustee, where he oversaw the Planning and Zoning Committee. Jake is a lifelong resident of Tinley Park and a graduate of both St. George and Providence Catholic high schools. He resides in Tinley Park with his wife, Carrie and sons Oliver and Logan. He and his family are parishioners of St. Stephen Deacon and Martyr Church. Mayor Vandenberg is chief executive officer and a fourth-generation funeral director at Vandenberg Funeral Home, a family owned small business with locations in Tinley Park and Mokena. Vandenberg served as Orland Township Trustee from 2009 to 2015.

Tinley Park is a village located primarily in Cook County, Illinois, United States with a small portion in Will County. With a population of nearly 60,000 people, Tinley Park is the 20th-largest city in Illinois and the 14th-largest city in Metropolitan Chicago. Tinley Park lies just south of Orland Park, southwest of Oak Forest, west of Country Club Hills and Matteson, north of Frankfort, and east of Orland Hills and Mokena.
