Mariano’s and Whole Foods Market expanding in metro Chicago at healthy clip

While construction of retail space is generally occurring at a moderate pace in metro Chicago, the grocery-anchored segment stands out for its high volume of activity.  Retailers such as Mariano’s and The Whole Foods Market are driving the lion’s share of new leases and development.
