March 28: Understand How Tax Incentives Can Help Your Customers

Special invitation to the banking community, CSEDC board members and investors:

Panel Discussion: Understand How Tax Incentives Can Help Your CustomersFriday, March 28th, 9:00 a.m.–10:30 a.m.Hosted by: Chicago Southland Economic Development Corporation (CSEDC)SSMMA Offices, 1906 W. 174th Street, East Hazel CrestRSVP: Click Here

Seventy-five interested professionals attended a standing room only event for municipalities and real estate brokers hosted by Chicago Southland Economic Development Corporation (CSEDC) in February.  We are now inviting the banking community to a similar event. What are the benefits of attending this private workshop? You will receive important tax incentive information, allowing you to answer tough questions from your customer base.

The Incentive Program, particularly 6b and Class 8, is a vital economic development tool for the south and southwest suburbs of Cook County. Although crucial, there is some uncertainty as to how to utilize the full potential of these programs for new purchasers, tenants and existing owners.

The topics will include the Class 6b and Class 8 Incentives, as well as recent SER and TEERM amendments to the Cook County Ordinance. We will discuss these incentives and examples of how they can be used in traditional and, sometimes, nontraditional approaches to facilitate economic development. We will also analyze why the Seller’s taxes should not scare off a potential buyer. We have assembled an expert panel and invite audience participation in our discussion:

  1.  Bill Sandrick, Owner-Sandrick Law Firm-Moderator

  2. Ivan Baker, Economic Development Director of Village of Tinley Park

  3. Adam Dotson, Community Development Director of City of Oak Forest

  4. John Watson, Economic Development Director of Village of South Holland
