March 18 & 20: Green Infrastructure Workshops


Note: These workshops are primarily targeted to elected officials and municipal staff:

For the March 18th workshop, the planning process will identify successful green infrastructure implementation and activities to serve as models for others, as well as seek input for future projects. Your organization is important to help identify and define opportunities for natural lands, open space, recreation, stormwater management and economic development within the Millennium Reserve Calumet Core. Created by executive order of Governor Quinn, the Millennium Reserve is a 220-square mile opportunity—from Chicago to south Cook County—to transform our region (see map).  Illinois has already invested nearly $3.3M in Millennium Reserve projects. Each agency/organization is encouraged to send one representative.
