Local Oak Forest Non-profit Bridging the Digital Divide

PCs for People, located in Oak Forest, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization which helps to bridge the digital divide by making low cost hardware and internet service available to individuals in need. They provide corporations, government entities, and other organizations with no-charge secure, industry standard, data destruction and e-waste recycling services for “retired” computers and other electronics. Then they refurbish the computers for distribution to low income communities. Watch a 2 minute video that explains what they do. PCs for People make it easy for organizations to have a profound effect in a person’s life with minimal effort and no cash outlay just by having them pickup “retired” computer equipment. Contact Loren Williams at 773-988-6908 or lwilliams@pcsforpeople.org for more information or simply schedule a pick up.
