Lions Park is to be Crete Park District’s new destination site

The Crete Park District is scheduled to open a new public park Wednesday in the Deer Meadows subdivision.

The park on Bradford Place north of Richton Road and west of State Street is to be called Lions Park, in tribute to the Lions Club in Crete that donated $75,000, half the money needed to develop the site.
