The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) has locked in another 90 acres of land within the footprint of the so-called Peotone Airport.
The $900,000 purchase, coupled with the $34 million acquisition of the 288-acre Bult Field property near Monee just two weeks earlier, could mean that the long-stalled and much-opposed airport really is going to happen.
