In one of Todd Pals’ first meetings with Homewood officials regarding the village helping to finance his proposed business in town, the Crete resident was met with no small suggestion from Mayor Rich Hofeld.
“I said, ‘You need to change the name to Homewood Bats,'” Hofeld said, laughing. “He fairly readily agreed.”
Standing in the 5,400 square feet of space that will become the Homewood Bat Co., Pals corroborated Hofeld’s version.
