Hate crime hotline will help victims fight back against racism, Dart says

Since the President-elect Donald Trump’s campaign launched, hate crime incidents have spiked nationally, according to data collected from the FBI and the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC). Now, Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart wants to help victims of these incidents fight back.

Dart announced Thursday the creation of a discrimination and hate crime hotline, which will be staffed by Sheriff’s office employees who will direct victims of discrimination or hate crimes to law enforcement agencies that can help them…Please click here to read the full story in DNAinfo.
