Grant opportunities: ComEd Open-Space, Safety and Arts Initiatives

Is your organization or community working on an open-space project, public safety initiative or an arts program for underserved communities?

You can apply now for one of ComEd’s three competitive grant programs – Green Region, Powering Safe Communities and Powering the Arts – which provide grants of up to $10,000. Applications will be open until March 15.

Powering Safe Communities

  1. Supports municipal public safety initiatives in ComEd’s service area

  2. Offered in partnership with the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus

Green Region

  1. Supports open-space projects that focus on planning, acquisition, and improvements to local parks, natural areas, and recreation areas

  2. Offered in partnership with Openlands

Powering the Arts

  1. Supports the efforts of arts and culture organizations to reach underserved audiences in ComEd’s service area

  2. Offered in partnership with the League of Chicago Theatres

Last year, ComEd funded 64 projects, totaling $490,000 in grants.
