Gov. Pat Quinn courts the Southland at Chamber luncheon

Gov. Pat Quinn reached out to south suburban government and business interests Monday by reminding officials all the things state government has done for the area during his five years as governor.

Quinn used a Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce luncheon to express his interests in the south suburbs.

“We don’t want this region left behind,” Quinn said during an event at the Odyssey Country Club. “I’m not from [north shore suburban] Winnetka.
