Funding opportunity for compressed natural gas and DC fast charging stations

SSMMA

To continue building the infrastructure needed to support the growing number of alternative fuel vehicles in the Chicago area, the City of Chicago through its Drive Clean Chicago program will award $1.4 million in grant funding for as many as four (4) compressed natural gas (CNG) and fifteen (15) DC fast charging stations through Drive Clean Station.

Private, public and nonprofit organizations are eligible to receive funding. The due date to submit applications is July 8, 2016.

Selected projects will receive grant funding for up to 30% of their new station costs. DC fast charger awards are capped at $15,000 per station and CNG awards are capped at $300,000 per station. Grant funds will be provided after all work is completed, all project costs are paid and the station is operational.
