The South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former State Sen. Mary Margaret “Maggie” Crotty who served in the Illinois House from 1997 to 2002, and in the Illinois Senate from 2003 to 2013. She also served as the Bremen Township Supervisor, and was a staunch advocate for children with special needs, senior services, health care, and education. We will truly miss her, and offer her family and friends our heartfelt prayers and condolences.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. on Nov. 9 at the Brady Gill Funeral Home, 16600 Oak Park Ave. in Tinley Park. In lieu of flowers, her family is asking for memorials to the Les Turner ALS foundation. View her obituary, or leave a memory for the family.
