The
Village of Flossmoor seeks a part-time Administrative Assistant to support the Village Manager and other members of the Village management team. The position works 29 hours per week. Although not frequent, some work may be outside normal work hours.
The position has frequent contact with other staff, elected officials and the public. Responsibilities include assistance in the development of the Board of Trustee agendas, assistance with the production of the yearly budget, responding to public inquires, complaint resolution and records management. Ideal candidate has an associate’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in municipal government or a confidential position. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and problem-solving skills are required. Work requires attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience handling highly complex, confidential administrative matters is desired. Salary is $26.26 per hour. Position is eligible for IMRF pension. Position is not eligible for health benefits.
