The Village of Flossmoor, Illinois (population 9,468), a progressive, mature full service south suburban community of the Chicago metropolitan area, seeks an Assistant Village Manager to provide high level administrative, analytical and professional assistance to the Village Manager. Position is an integral member of the management team and has routine contact with all departments, elected officials and the public. Regular duties include human resource management (exclusive of benefit administration), risk management, and oversight of village-wide information technology and communications infrastructure. Village is seeking candidates with experience in a full-service suburban community. Ideal candidate has a masters in public administration or a related field and a minimum of five years of experience. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required.
