Dec.14: Energy & information fair


From the office of Cook County Commissioner Edward M. Moody; please share with your residents:

Cook County Commissioner Edward M. Moody is hosting an Energy & Information Fair Wednesday, December 14th – 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Andrew Biella Center in Crestwood. Located at 4545 Midlothian Turnpike. Applications for LIHEAP (low income home energy assistance program) will be processed at the Energy Fair. Click here for a flyer to post or distribute.

NOTE: Applications are taken on a first come – first serve basis, no-advance registration. Registration is day of event, on-site and all applicants must be registered by 1:00p.m.

Federal funds are available to families that qualify. One time payments are made directly to Nicor and ComEd to provide financial support to households. The winter season is just around the corner and along with the cold comes higher energy bills. The application is fast and easy.

When applying you MUST bring: proof of gross income for the last 30 days. Original Social Security cards for all household members. Current Nicor and ComEd utility bills. Your application cannot be processed without these documents.

Meet local representatives from The Link & Option Center, Nicor, and ComEd to discuss other payment options to avoid disconnection. Useful information will be provided from area Social Service Organizations. Come find out what programs are available to help meet the needs of your family.
